JMU’s Furious Flower Poetry Center, the nation’s first academic center for Black poetry, is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary at the end of I-Week. Joining in the festivities are five poets from Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) as a continuation of the Department of State’s Arts Envoy program, which brought FFPC poets to Eswatini last year. These five Swati poets, committed to using their art to advance positive social change in their country, will read from their own works.
